Friday afternoon, Jean Gabriel Fortuné the Mayor of Les Cayes in presence of members of the City Council, received the visit of Guillaume Cheng-hao Hu, the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) accompanied by his adviser Olivier N. C. Hsiao.

Mayor Fortuné pleaded for a close relationship of Taiwan with the Great South and informed in return the Ambassador of Taiwan of the Micro Industrial Park project in Les Cayes. Guillaume Cheng-hao Hu asked if there was any raw material in the area to implement a cement factory in Les Cayes ? Faced with this interest, the Mayor replied that studies were needed to verify and provide a precise answer to this question.
