This center has 8 shades, a transplant nursery with an annual production capacity of 4.5 million seedlings, composting centers and fertilizer preparation, tool storage and agricultural inputs, and is creator of 150 direct jobs and 200 indirect jobs. Minister Pierre Simon Georges said in his speech, "The Republic of China Taiwan undertakes to finance the South Germplasm Center and the Federal Republic of Mexico undertakes to finance three other centers in support of the reforestation efforts of the Haitian Government," concluding "I want every penny paid out by the Ministry of the Environment and the partners to be spent on the environment and not on behalf of the environment."
