iciHaiti - Technology : The Internet has become an essential tool

In his intervention to the opening on September 13, of the First International Governance Forum (FGI) of the Internet in Haiti 2018, Obed Sindy, President of "Internet Society" Chapter Haiti after the usual thanks said "In a country like Haiti, where almost everything is a challenge, our motto must be to preach again our motto 'unity is strength', not for a new war of independence but for the construction of a present and a tomorrow that we all deserve.
[...] The Internet has become an indispensable tool for innovation and democracy. It is clear that connecting to the Internet is an asset for increasing economic productivity, improving the quality and accessibility of services for the benefit of all Haitian citizens.
The Internet is both a worldwide dissemination capability, a mechanism for distributing information, and a means of collaboration and interaction between individuals and their computers, regardless of geographic location. The Internet is one of the most successful examples of the benefits of investment and sustained commitment to research and development of IT infrastructure and technological advances have made the internet a center of creativity [...]"
