iciHaiti - Cycling : Provisional course of 100km of the Caribbean Championship 03/06/2019 09:38:31
This Saturday, June 1st, during the 2nd day of assessment of the capacity of Haiti to organize the 19th edition of the championship of the nations of the Caribbean of cycling which will take place next October, Edwing Charles accompanied the three experts of the International Cycling Union (UCI) Vincent Jacquet, Dejan Yann and Philippe Colliou and the Secretary General of the Caribbean Cycling Confederation (CCC) Cyril Mangal, on the National Road #1 (RN1) to evaluate the possibility of integrating this road in the course of 100 km of the competition.
According to the first conclusions of the experts the race could start at Decameron on the Côte des Arcadins to join Delmas and Port-au-Prince, stressing that this new course has a double advantage in that it will promote a better start to the race and offer a good visibility of Haiti in terms of tourism.
In addition, the emissaries of the UCI confirmed that they will take charge of the Haitian riders during the preparation sessions to help the Haitian selection to offer the best possible performance during the championship.
