Earlier this week, US officials confirmed that 19 Haitian boat people on board a boat 26-foot Grady White, illegally accosted Sunday on the American coast.

Frank Miller, the spokesman for the US Border Patrol declared that 6 women and a minor girl, were among the arrested migrants and that all appeared to be in good health. They were taken to a Border Patrol station in South Florida and would be turned over to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for possible expulsion to their country of origin.

Miller said the Border Patrol and the federal Department of Homeland Security began an investigation to discover the trafficking network that allowed immigrants to enter clandestinely on American soil.
