Thursday, as part of a ceremony commemorating the 239 years of independence of the United States of America to the private residence of the US ambassador accredited to Port-au-Prince, Pamela White, Prime Minister Paul Evans, in his speech paid tribute to the ideals of brotherhood, freedom characterizing the independence of Haiti and that of the United States.

He also thanked the US government for its solidarity with our people, following the January 2010 earthquake.
