This week, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Office of Insurance Occupational Injury, Sickness and Maternity (OFATMA) and "Ayiti Air Anbilans" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11868-haiti-health-ayiti-air-anbilans-a-turning-point-in-haiti.html . According to Max Roudolph Saint-Albin, the Director General of OFATMA, during transportation of a patient by that hospital helicopter service to one of 42 hospitals affiliated, all costs will be covered by insurance, saying "We want to offer services that go beyond health insurance [...]"

Remember that the helicopters "Ayiti Air Anbilans" are equipped with modern equipment for intensive care and surgery, allows the medical team to stabilize critically ill or injured patients during transport to a specialized hospital centers in critical care.

At the moment "Ayiti Air Anbilans" has not yet received permits for the department of Grand'Anse, but the company made every effort to acquire legal authorizations allowing it to serve policyholders in the 140 communes of Haiti.
