Last Friday, around 9:00 am the body of a young Haitian motorcycle taxi, known as "Titi" was found dead in a ravine on the side of the Dominican border of Elias Piña, reported Ulrick Camille, a animator of the Support Group for Returnees and Refugees (GARR) in Belladère. According to reports, the body bore signs of injuries with a knife in the stomach and neck.

Following the conclusion of a Dominican Peace judge, accompanied by the Dominican police, the body of the young Haitian was taken to a Dominican morgue for autopsy.

GARR strongly condemns this crime and calls on the Dominican authorities to protect the lives and property of all Haitians in the Dominican Republic.
