iciHaiti - Culture : The Ministry of Culture pays tribute to Black Alex
In a note, Dithny Joan Raton, the Minister of Culture, regrets the premature departure, Friday, November 13, of Jamecy Alex Pierre aka "Black Alex" at the age of 39 years, iconic singer of the legendary musical group King Posse. https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-15764-icihaiti-culture-the-haitian-rapper-black-alex-passed-away.html

"Today, the sadness and the reactions that his death has aroused among its fans and collaborators, prove how he was able to positively mark his short time in life.

Talented and creative artist, an energetic and motivated person, Black Alex was one of lubricators of the engine for the development of Haitian culture. More than a celebrity, it is the icon of a generation of artists who disappears.

Real maker of tubes, Jamecy Alex Pierre, has often been invited on the slopes of the best bands and artists of Haitian music landscape.

The Ministry of Culture, on behalf of the Government, pays tribute to the career of the rapper, bows to his remains and extends its sympathies to his family, friends and collaborators and artistic community affected by this pain.

Life lasts only a moment, but the legacy he left for Culture is eternal. That his soul rests in peace !"
