Friday, Wendell Theodore, the Director of the newsroom of Radio Télé Métropole was the victim of a robbery on Catalpa Street (Delmas 75).

Three armed men threatened and robbed the journalist and took off with his car (Toyota Rav4), after having fired shots into the air.

Wendell who got away unharmed, although shocked by the incident, stated that the police had opened an investigation to find his attackers.

Note that acts of insecurity are increasing in the metropolitan area, amid electoral mess socio-political, that the police presence is not very visible to curb these attacks and that the year-end holidays are approaching, a period where banditry acts are traditionally higher.
