The AVANSE project has a total estimated budget of over $67 million and seeks to increase agricultural incomes of 20,000 farm households in Haiti’s North. AVANSE works in rice, plantains, bananas and cacao to get farmers access to irrigation, agricultural training and technology. AVANSE’s agrofrestry projects stabilize hillsides and support watersheds, while re-opening farmer schools and assisting farmers to respond to the drought.
