Monday in a note, the Embassy of Haiti in Caracas (Venezuela) says to have learned with dismay the sad news of the death of the Haitian-Venezuelan activist, Fritz Saint Louis, shot several times in the night of Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his private residence, located in Santa Lucia, Valles del Tuy, near Caracas.

The Embassy recalls that "Mr. St. Louis was a political activist fighting for the rights of Haitians who are both in Venezuela that in Haiti, his homeland. He was also a founding member of the Solidarity Committee with Haiti, International Coordinator of the Haitian Socialist Movement for the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) and Secretary General of the Cultural House Bolivarian of Venezuela. He was a true revolutionary, a great fighter for human rights and a great defender of the Bolivarian cause."
