For the first time, a ship docked at the new North Wharf (Roll On / Roll Off) of the International Port of Port-au-Prince of the National Port Authority (APN) https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16436-icihaiti-reconstruction-inauguration-of-the-north-wharf-of-the-international-port-of-port-au-prince.html . This is the "Garcia d'Avila", a ship of the Brazilian Navy.

The Engineer Alix Célestin, Director General of the APN, took advantage of the first to pay a courtesy visit to the ship's captain and the crew, to welcome them.

In addition, a workshop was held between the APN and the Companies GLF Construction Corporation and ALATEC around of coordinations of finishing Reconstruction works of North Wharf of Public Facilities of International Port of Port-au-Prince.

Finally, note that Alix Célestin, received a distinction for the efforts made by the APNin term of security, in the implementation of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS).
