Despite the lifting of the strike to the UEH started January 18, 2016, by the union of the administrative staff, and the release by the striker staff of space of the Directorate of post-graduate studies (DEP) and of Rectorate of the UEH, the illegal occupation by alleged students, which had grafted to the strike on February 5 is continuing in the premises of the central administration preventing the proper functioning of the State University of Haiti and mortgaging the present academic year in several entities.

About 200 teachers from different entities of the State University, signed a public statement condemning the establishment of any climate of terror by suspected members of the university community who use violence to enforce their claims. They demand the immediate and unconditional release and unconditionally of premises of the UEH and rejects any attempt to impose by force an Executive Council to the university community;

But so far, despite numerous attempts of dialogues with the occupants, no mediation is successful on anything concrete, given the intransigent position of "student protesters".
