The goal is to train a team of volunteers to be part of the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) to meet the needs of victims in case of disaster. This rescuers team will receive special training: first aid; cardiopulmonary resuscitation ; search and rescue and emergency evacuation in case of fire. A certificate will be issued to all participants at the end of this training and a reward will be offered to the first 10 registered. The Consulate relies on the presence of everyone. For more information: 407-897-1262 or by email cons.orlando@diplomatie.ht UPDATE 20-06-2016 : The Communication Office of the Consulate of the Republic of Haiti in Orlando presents its compliments to the Haitian Community of Central Florida and has the advantage to inform that the training session organized by Mr. Manny Soto, representative of City of Orlando regarding the hurricane season, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 6 p.m. in the premises of the Consulate, was postponed to a later date. Given the recent events in the night from June 11 to 12, 2016 during the shooting at Pulse Nightclub, the city of Orlando is in emergency state. Therefore, the City of Orlando can not offer this training to the Community. IH/ iciHaiti
