Justin Viard, the Consul General a.i. of Haiti in Montreal recently held an important meeting with representatives of the Hotel school of Montreal Calixa-Lavallée, including Daniel Buscem, General Director of the School and the Chefs Pierre Sauterel and Patrick Garneau, respectively, professor in baking and cooking.

The objective of this meeting was to revitalize the partnership existing since 2013 between the Hotel School of Montreal and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries of Haiti.

Following that meeting, it was agreed
a training session in Haiti in January 2017 for teachers from the hotel school of Haiti by the Chefs-teachers.

It should be noted that this partnership also opens the door for teachers from the hotel school of Haiti to complement their training at the Vocational Training Centre Calixa-Lavallée, Quebec. Efforts are also underway for the hotel school of Haiti receive educational materials and kitchen equipment and pastry.
