Saturday, following the publication in the Haitian media of a statement by Mirlande Manigat to the effect that her Party (RNDP) had received 550,000 US dollars for the electoral campaign [2010-2011], from a company of Félix Bautista https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18215-haiti-flash-petrocaribe-the-rdnp-received-550-000-dollars-from-the-company-hadom.html , Dominican senator and businessman Bautista denied having made financial contributions to parties, "Candidates or Haitian Officials".
He recalled that [at his trial], this accusation has been irrevocably judged and rejected by the Office of Prosecutor General and the Dominican Supreme Court.
He also wished to recall that two of its companies have won international tenders for the construction of works in Haiti, totaling $ 300 million and that the Haitian State is still liable financially to its companies. He explained that out the 29 works contracted, his companies ROFI and HADOM completed and delivered 22 of them, or 75.56%, while they received only $137 million, or 47% of the budget which explains the paralysis of the remaining works sites.
