iciHaiti - Justice : Presidential Commission on the Reform of Criminal Law

Monday, Camille Edouard Jr., the Minister of Justice has proceeded to the installation of a Presidential Commission on the Reform of Criminal Law, composed of the former Minister of Justice, Jean Joseph Exumé (President) and 3 other commissioners : Me Sybille Théard Mevs, Jean Vandal and Florence Mathieu.
This Commission has the task to modernize the the criminal code, which dates from 1835, by adapting it to the reality of Haiti in the XXI century. It takes over from the Commission formed in 2012 under the Government Martelly, proceeded to the development of the draft Penal Code and the draft Code of Criminal Procedure.
