iciHaiti - Economy : The Economic Forum of the Private Sector, deeply saddened
In a note, the Economic Forum of the Private Sector is deeply, saddened by the tragic consequences of the passage of Hurricane Matthew on Haiti and particularly the peninsulas of South and Northwest, and expresses its sympathy and solidarity to the affected populations, particularly our colleagues in the South, Grande Anse, Nippes and Northwest.

The Forum calls on our citizens and all friends of Haiti to organize with the Haitian authorities to provide emergency help, to all those in need. Despite the logistical challenges, we must act quickly, collect data, make inventories, prepare plans and channel aid effectively and avoid duplication and waste.

The Forum urges, also, our public authorities to manage this crisis with empathy but professionalism.

"If we work together to address this challenge; affected populations, our citizens from within and from outside, local authorities, the Central Power, Parliament and Executive, the friends of our country, the Forumremains convinced that Haiti will come out and grown, in dignity," concluded Gregory Brandt for the Board of Directors.
