This week, Ambassador Mulrean visited Les Anglais along with experts from CDC and USAID to see first-hand the threat of cholera to Hurricane-ravaged communities. They spoke at length with the Haitian medical staff at a cholera treatment center about the challenges and needs of the community.

"Cholera remains the most pressing threat to the Grand Sud, and we are supporting the MSPP by working with local and international organizations to detect, prevent and control cholera.

Part of that effort has been the delivering of 5.7 million Aquatabs to purify water and 38.1 tons of chlorine to clean water sources," said US Ambassador.
