Haiti - Education : Michel Hector recipient of the Prix Jean Price Mars 2016

During a ceremony at the Hotel Plaza in the presence of several personalities from the academic world, including the Vice-Dean of Research of the Faculty of Ethnology, Professor Jn-Yves Blot, the Director of research laboratory LADIREP, John Picard Byron, the Professors Laënnec Hurbon and Jean Casimir; the Rector of the State University of Haiti (UEH), Fritz Deshommes, recently handed the Jean Price Mars 2016 medal to Professor Michel Hector.

Created by the Faculty of Ethnology, the Jean Price Mars Medal is an honorary distinction awarded each year since 2013 to researchers in social and human sciences, Haitian and foreign, having produced quality work in the field of Haitian ethnological and cultural studies.
