As part of the implementation of the project "Improvement of family farming through the strengthening of the milk supply chain in Haiti", financed by the Haiti Reconstruction Fund (HFR) with the contribution of the Government of Brazil, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) organized a workshop on the hygiene of manual milking at the Hotel Montana.



This Guide has been developed jointly by FAO, the Ministry of Agriculture and members of the milk supply chain consultation group in Haiti. This extension tool will be used, inter alia, to train milk producers on the hygiene of manual milking with a view to contributing to improving the food security of small-scale milk producers by increasing milk productivity. It also aims to guarantee the quality of the finished products of dairies and protect the health of consumers.
