iciHaiti - Patronal feast : Launch of the Saint-Yves festivities
As part of the Patronal feast of the Saint-Yves (19 May), thepatron of lawyers and judge of the widows, orphans and the needy, the Bar of Port-au-Prince is planning a week of activities from 15 to 19 May 2017 under the theme "Business law and investment".

Several bars will take part in the festivities, notably those of Paris, North Carolina, Guadeloupe and Martinique, as well as representatives of the National Council of Bars and Chambers of Commerce and from the International Conference of Law Societies (CIB).

On the program : of lectures : "State of the Haitian banking system"; "State of the art of business law in Haiti"; "Role of the Bank in the Economic Development of North Carolina"; "Investment promotion"; "Business Law Reform in Haiti"; "Role of Alternative Dispute Resolution in Investment Promotion" and "International Investment" ; ; The final of the pleading competition, a simulated trial (Wednesday, 1h30 a.m., at the Convention Center of the BRH "Does the end justify the means ?" between the Paris Bar (lawyers: Gabriel Dumenil and Lucile Collot / Positive Thesis) and that of Port-au-Prince (Lawyers : Me Elisée Lainé and Me Hakins Henry / Negative thesis); a gala evening at the Oasis Hotel.

The festivities will end on Friday May 19 with the traditional Mass celebrated in the premises of the courthouse.
