Thursday, following the inauguration of the new Hydro-meteorological building, https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-21043-icihaiti-security-new-building-of-the-hydro-meteorological-service.html Carmel André Béliard, the Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development, accompanied by his Director General, Branly Eugène, installed the engineer Ronald Semelfort as Coordinator ai of the Hydro-Meteorological Unit of Haiti (UHM).

This installation is part of the institutional reform of hydro-meteorological services, which are now all grouped in the UHM.

Engineer Ronald Semelfort, is a senior civil servant for more than 30 years. He is Professor of Mathematics and Physics at the Faculty of Sciences and at the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (FAMV). Semelfort is the current Director of the National Center of Meteorology (CNM).
