As part of the 13th edition of the Caribbean Festival of the Arts (CARIFESTA XIII), which ended on Sunday August 27th in Bridgetown (Barbados), the Haitian group Tabou Combo has made the scene vibrate. Limond Toussaint, the Minister of Culture, hailed the band's long career in Soubou to be one of these musical formations to haul the Haitian flag to the planetary scale. The Minister took the opportunity to thank the people of Barbados for their warm welcome and congratulate the members of the Haitian delegation for the quality of their performances.

During his stay, the Minister visited the exhibition of Haitian artisans and designers at the Grand Market.

In an interview for CBC channel Limond Toussaint said "My country's participation in the largest Caribbean intercultural festival, Carifesta, was an opportunity to share our real tangible and intangible heritage with Barbados and all the other member countries of the Caribbean Common Market, CARICOM and the rest of the world."
