iciHaiti - Education : FAES has built 55 schools and will distribute 100,000 school kits 02/09/2017 07:55:49
As part of its mission to support disadvantaged groups by financing social programs, FAES has already handed over some of the 105 schools (55 constructed and 50 rehabilitated) to the Ministry of Education for the new academic year. In addition, FAES plans to reach as many schoolchildren as possible by distributing about 100,000 kits in all 10 departments. This week, FAES handed over the keys to 22 new schools funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to Meniol Jeune, the Director General of the Ministry of Education. 4 schools are located in the West, 6 in the Southeast, 3 in the Center, 1 in the South, 3 in Grand-Anse, 3 in the North, 1 in the North-East and 1 in the North-West. The FAES, promises the delivery of a dozen other schools during the month of September. At the same time, the rehabilitation works of more than fifty schools are progressing rapidly in the South and Grand-Anse. IH/ S/ iciHaiti
