The Ministry of Planning conducted this Thursday, November 16, a training workshop on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This activity, organized in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), brought together coordinators and executives of sectoral ministries as well as representatives of other state institutions such as the State University of Haiti (UEH) and the Haitian Institute of Statistics and Informatics (IHSI).

The objective of this workshop was to prepare the MAPS Mission (integration strategy, acceleration and policy support) and train ministry staff in the tools needed to implement the SDGs in an integrated manner at the national level.

During this meeting, each ministry drew up an inventory of its sectoral strategic plan for the implementation of the SDGs. In addition, they carried out work in intersectoral groups for the achievement of the SDGs.

Following this workshop, experts from UNDP Headquarters and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), in partnership with other institutions, will be in Haiti from 4 to 8 December to meet with the sectoral ministries to see how they can, from the strategic development plan (PSDH), align the SDGs with the priorities of the Haitian government.
