Friday at the Departmental Directorate of Public Works of Basquin (Chalon), communal section of Miragoâne, President Moïse, accompanied by Prime Minister Lafontant, in the presence of among others of senators of the Nippes, and deputies of Miragoâne, Baradères, Azile, Paillant / Petite Rivière, Fonds-des-Nègres, Fritz Caillot Minister of Public Works, Max Rudolph Saint Albin, the Minister of the Interior and local authorities, the Departmental Delegate of the Nippes Guyvard Labbé, the mayor of Miragoâne Yves Metellus, Wilson Augustin the Departmental Director of Public Works and some notables of the city, proceeded to the distribution of heavy machinery intended for the Department Nippes, the 8th department to have benefited from distribution of equipment for public works.

While welcoming the presence of parliamentarians of different tendencies within the Parliament, the Head of State recalled the measures already taken by the Government to endow the Departmental Directorates of the country with equipment and human resources. He also announced the arrival of other complementary equipment, in order to allow the departmental structures to properly manage their development.

While announcing the forthcoming holding of the States General of the Nation as well as the establishment of a departmental forum of the elected, Moïse launched an appeal to the unity of the inhabitants in all the communes of the country.
