The Directorate General of Migration (DGM) continues its migration control operations relentlessly, tracking Haitians in an irregular situation 7/7 in different regions of the country.

On Thursday interventions took place in the communities of Batey Sosúa, Cienfuegos, Los Quemao, Villa Maria, Laguna Beach and Sabaneta de Yasica (Puerto Plata province) and in the areas of San Isidro and Los Frailes (Santo Domingo East). 233 Haitians were arrested and controlled, 116 compatriots in an irregular migration situation were transferred to the border crossings of Dajabón and Elías Piña for registration and deportation to Haiti.

The DGM reiterates that these operations will continue in other provinces of the national territory, in order to locate Haitians and other foreigners who violate the provisions of the Migration Act.
