iciHaiti - PNH-South : Positive result of the operation «Okipe Beton»

As part of the operation "Okipe Beton" started last August 16, which consists of reinforcing the police presence in the streets and the proliferation of patrols, Commissioner Mario Aubergiste, Departmental Director of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) South presented this week at the police station of Les Cayes, the results of the first 12 days.
As part of several separate operations in conjunction with the justice, conducted in areas at risk, 22 individuals were arrested, 9 kilos of narcotic and a large quantity of marijuana-related substances were seized and handed over to the Narcotics Trafficking Brigade (BLTS) for the necessary follow-up. 6 firearms were also seized
Moreover, the Commissioner Aubergiste lamented that police officers had been arrested, accused of involvement in inter alia robberies and various illicit trafficking.
