![]() iciHaiti - Politics : 1.8 billion gourdes for the next general census 22/09/2018 09:19:20
Remember that the United Nations, every 10 years, recommends to each country to carry out a general census. In Haiti, the last general census was held in 2003 and for the past 15 years, these statistics no longer reflect the reality of today. For this 5th Census, approximately 15,000 enumerators and 3,000 supervisors will be deployed across the country. This pilot phase whose the cost of which is 16 million Gourdes, was carried out in 4 departments: West, Artibonite, Nortwest and Grand'Anse and in 8 communes (2 per département), divided into 120 Distributed Enumeration Sections (CSDs). 120 trained enumerators equipped with digital tablets, 12 supervisors, 12 Technological Support, Information and Communication Technicians (ASTIC), 16 trainers, 4 auditors, 8 communal officials and 8 departmental managers took part in this pilot phase. Recall that the budget of this 5th RGPH, according to officials, is about 1 billion 788 million gourdes financed by the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Government of Canada and the Haitian state. The fund will be managed by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) See also : https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-20971-haiti-politics-5th-general-population-census-haiti-signs-with-un.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24762-haiti-politic-pilot-phase-of-the-5th-general-census.html IH/ iciHaiti
