On Saturday, Jobert C. Angrand, the Minister of Agriculture at the head of a delegation went to the construction site of the dam of the micro-hydroelectric plant on the Marion River, in the locality of Grand Bassin, Terrier Rouge (Northeast).

"We are currently witnessing the necessary preparations before arriving at the concreting of the main canal," said the Minister, who said technicians are waiting for the results of analyzes from the National Laboratory for Materials, to start with the concreting process, no later than Wednesday 31 October adding "The construction of the first two dikes is already effective and there are two more to build just after concreting the main canal."

Recall that in addition to the construction of the dam, a reservoir with a capacity of 10 million m3 is in progress and a pump station powered by solar energy is planned, to facilitate watering operations and ensure the availability of water for the farmers by allowing the irrigation of the vast cultivable plains of Grand Bassin, Acul Saturday, Savannah Square, Malféti etc...
