Mayor Fortuné pointed out that the mass cancellations of carnivals in Haiti are having a severe impact on artists and musical groups who only have carnival as other sources of income. In addition to the participation of Sweet Micky who is confirmed, the Mayor should communicate in the coming hours what other musical groups will participate in this Carnival.
The budget for these festivities remains unknown, but Fortuné recalls that Jean Michel Lapin, Minister of Culture confirmed Wednesday that all municipalities decided to organize carnival festivities in their respective regions will have the support of the State stating "The State had a forecast of expenditure for 3 days fat [50 million gourdes]. The windows remain open for all municipalities.
