Céline Marti, an international skier of Haitian descent adopted baby by a Swiss couple from Geneva, dreams of participating in the Olympic Winter Games of 2022 in Beijing (China).

In February at the 45th World Championships 2019 in Åre, Sweden, Céline finished 52nd in slalom, more than a minute behind American champion Mikaela Shiffrin.

Since she is not a professional, Céline can not afford to train as often as she would like. The time on the snow is limited to the weekend because the ski passes are not cheap and it was difficult to attract sponsors.

Despite the financial constraints, Marti is nevertheless relentless. Her dream is to compete at the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing in 2022, but she must first prepare and excel at the FIS 2021 Alpine Ski World Championships in Italy, a competition she says she is ready to play.

"In three years it's the Olympic Games and it's my dream to represent Haiti at the Winter Games. I think it's possible to see the Haitian flag in China."
