iciHaiti - Justice : The CSPJ cleans the judicial system
In accordance with the law on the judiciary, the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) proceeds to the purification of the judicial system. In this context, the CSPJ has published a list of 39 magistrates who have been investigated in several jurisdictions of the country, as part of the process of certification of judges.
Of the 39 magistrates, 27 were certified, 7 did not obtain their certification and were expelled and 5 were laid off pending the completion of investigations.
The reasons given for the expulsion of 7 magistrates are various and consistent among others : corruption, lack of ethics and deontology, mental health problem, reprehensible conduct, immorality, use of false certificates of study, falsified transcripts, so many reasons that question the process of integration of judges in the Haitian judicial system.
