On the initiative of the Litlle Haiti Book Festival in association with Sosyete Koukouy of Miami, Inc., the Ministry of Culture accompanied by a delegation composed of Haitian publishing houses and authors, participated in the 7th Edition of the Little Haiti Book Festival, May 5th and 6th at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex.

The Little Haiti Book Festival, considered ad a Haitian version of the Miami Book Fair's ReadCaribean Programming, is a major exhibition-sales of books by Haitian writers living in Haiti and in the Diaspora on the initiative of the Mapou Bookstore.

This festival has also welcomed drummers, speakers, storytellers and other professionals from the book and writing. Several Haitian authors of international fame animated various literary activities during this Fair.

It should be noted that the Haitian delegation of the Ministry participated at several levels, including an exhibition and sale of a hundred Haitian titles of all categories and the traveling exhibition of the Ministry of Culture called "Faces of Names and Works for "Memory", presenting the portrait of Haitian writers and thinkers who marked the 19th and 20th centuries of literature and Haitian thought.
