Members of the Northwest Command of the Dominican National Police (PND) seized 45 kg of marijuana from Haiti, who were concealed in a Hyundai white jeep, registered G352907 during a sharp interception of the vehicle on the Duarte street in Dajabón.

Police said that a patrol ordered the occupants of the vehicle to stop, but that they tried to escape, the police fired at the vehicle's tires forcing him to stop.

According to the police, the occupants fled, abandoning their vehicle in which the drug was discovered.

In addition, the police found in the vehicle a mobile phone and a document on behalf of two people, that allowed identify individuals on the run and to trace several members of the network in the Dominican Republic as in Haiti.
