iciHaiti - Noailles : The cut metal works protected by the law

Jean Michel Lapin, the Minister of Culture informs the population in general, specialists in culture and heritage, porters or regulators of intangible heritage in particular that the practice of "Cut Metal" of the Village of Noailles of the Croix-des-Bouquets, is officially registered in the National Register of Haitian Cultural Heritage.

In this respect the Minister recalls that in accordance with Article 215 of the Constitution and in application of Articles 1 and 2 of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Heritage ratified by the Parliament on 19 February 2009, on the one hand, and the paragraph 2 of Article 4 of the Decree on Copyright and Related Rights in 2005, on the other hand, informs that the "Cut Iron" or "Cut Metal" as a cultural element of the Village of Noailles of the Croix-des-Bouquets is now protected by law.

As a result, any commercial exploitation is subject to the provisions of the law.
