iciHaiti - Petit-Goâve : 4th day of blackout, young people threaten !

Wednesday in the evening, while Petit-Goâve is plunged into a Blackout for 4 days, hundreds of young girls and boys walked peacefully through the streets of the city a candle lit in hand in search of electricity.

The young protesters expressed their rage "We are tired of the blackout", "Our activities are paralyzed", "We can not study anymore".

In front of Radio Préférence FM, the young people delivered a threatening message threatening "If by the end of this week, Petit-Goâve is not powered again by electricity, we will take action. We will have to use violence to force the authorities to provide us with electricity."

Stressing, young people are not demanding, they just ask for some energy "(yon ti niche dwèt kouran) oh!, mesye, nou demeplè tròp nan peyi sa a, nou degoutan tròp. Bay pep la, yon niché dwèt kouran !"
