iciHaiti - Security : The Director of the National Lottery wounded by bullet

Wednesday around 4:00 pm, Marie Margareth Fortuné General Director of the Lottery of the Haitian State (LEH), accompanied by two people was collateral victim of a violent attack in Chalon (Miragoane). Ms. Fortuné's car was stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time, at the center of a clash between two groups of armed individuals.
Individuals threw stones at the LEH pickup before firing at the vehicle, slightly injuring Ms. Fortuné's arm, forcing her and her passengers to flee for their lives. Individuals set fire to the LEH pick-up while Ms. Fortuné and her two passengers found protections with residents of the area pending the arrival of the police to evacuate them safely.
