iciHaiti - Washington : Art Exhibition of the Diaspora at the Embassy of Haiti

On June 27, as part of the celebration of the 10th annual Caribbean Heritage Month, the Embassy of Haiti in Washington, DC, hosted a "Cultural Expressions in the Arts" evening.
This evening was marked by the opening of the Embassy's art exhibition, "Diaspora Expressions Expo", an exhibition exclusively composed of works by the diaspora community.
More than half of the Diaspora artists were invited by the Ambassador to attend the evening for special recognition of their contribution to the exhibition.
For the occasion, the Embassy brought back the 2019 Embassy Chef Challenge People's Choice Award Winner, Mr. Dimitri Lilavois for a culinary experience like no other! The program closed with a fashion show from designers all throughout the Caribbean. The evening was organized as part of the Embassy’s larger mission to strengthen relations with the Caribbean community, promote women empowerment, reconnect with the Diaspora community, and highlight Haiti’s rich culture and ingenuity.
