On July 4, Professor Jacques Desravines passed away in the United States after 60 years of teaching career.

In a note, Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education recalls "This emeritus educator was honored by the Ministry on May 17, 2018, at the teachers' tribute ceremony https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27765-haiti-education-minister-cadet-pays-tribute-to-50-eminent-teachers.html

First evolving in the North then the West, Jacques Desravines has trained dozens of generations of young people in classical and vocational education.

On behalf of the Ministry and on my own behalf, I extend my sympathies to the family, his family and all his colleagues.

Rest in Peace Me Desravines because you have greatly contributed to the advancement of education and the future of many young people."
