iciHaiti - SIMEX 2019 : Cyclonic alert simulation exercise
On Thursday 11 July in the North-East, the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) and the ENPAK organization will carry out a Cyclonic Alert Simulation Exercise (SIMEX 2019) around the theme "Plis nou pare, mwens nou an Danje".

The purpose of this simulation exercise is to test and improve the planning, coordination and communication capacities of the Communal Civil Protection Committees (CCPC) in simulated emergency management in a realistic environment. Specifically, this SIMEX will make it possible to measure the effectiveness of the coordination mechanisms between the departmental and municipal level of Civil Protection (COUD and COUC), to evaluate the capacity of the 13 Centers of Communal Emergency Operations (COUC) of the North. Collects, interprets and analyzes information and informs the population in the event of a cyclone alert, checks the communication links between the different levels of the system, as well as test the ability of the COUC to interpret, analyze an emergency situation and make decisions to solve a problem.

This activity is financed by the World Bank and implemented by the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities via the CPD Project Coordination Unit. The ENPAK organization, as Project Implementation Organization, has the responsibility to strengthen the Communal Committees of Civil Protection of the North, the North-East, the Center and 9 communes of the West.
