While we are in hurricane season and in anticipation of possible emergencies, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has organized in the Nippes with the support of the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) and the European humanitarian aid operations of the European Commission (ECHO), a training workshop on techniques for the management and distribution of emergency stocks of non-food items for logistical staff of the 4 Departmental Coordination of Civil Protection of the Great South.

This workshop follows training activities organized in the South, South-East and Grand'Anse departments.

This workshop allowed to train 20 executives of the National System of Risk and Disaster Management in each of the 4 departments of the Great South, on techniques of management and distribution of emergency stocks of non-food goods and 5 trainers-masters in each 4 departmental civil protection coordinations with the capacity to duplicate training on management techniques and distribution of emergency stocks of non-food items.
