The Ministry of Defense informs the population that, following the meteorological episode of strong winds that affected several communes of the Department of Grand'Anse in the night of August 16, 2019 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28523-haiti-grand-anse-violent-winds-a-hundred-houses-destroyed-provisional-balance.html , a joint delegation of the Ministry of Defense, the Corps of Military Engineering composed of civil engineer officers, agronomists, soldiers and a member of the cabinet of the Minister is currently on an evaluation mission in the department.

The purpose of this mission is to review the situation with a view to preparing a disaster assistance plan.
