August 22 in Tokyo, in the presence of Mrs. Elsie Joseph, Head of Mission of the Haitian National Team and Helph Monod Honorat, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Haiti in Japan and Hans Larsen, President of the Olympic Committee Haitian, took place the signing ceremony of the Exchange Program Agreement between the Haitian National Team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the City of Kota (in Aichi Prefecture in Japan), the Agreement was signed by Mrs. Elsie Joseph and Atsushi Naruse, Mayor of Kota City.

It is indeed the city of Kota located in the department of "Aichi" (pronunciation almost similar to "Ayiti" in Creole), in Japan which will host officially after the Olympics, in the framework of this Program, the athletes of the Haitian National Team (10-11 August 2020) for sports and cultural exchanges with the citizens of the city of Kota, the hometown of Mitsuaki Mizuno, Japanese Ambassador to Haiti who is behind this program cultural exchange.
