In a note on the situation in Haiti, dated September 11, 2019, the Quai d'Orsay advises French nationals :
"The situation in Haiti remains uncertain and tense. Barrage can be erected on the roads, especially on the road to the airport. If you have to go to Haiti, be very careful. It is necessary to limit and adapt his movements accordingly.
The presence of particularly active gangs has been reported in the area between Ganthier and Croix des Bouquets. Therefore, it is strongly recommended not to go in this area and to avoid going by the road to the border point of Malpasse.
The crossing of Martissant is also discouraged, as well as the course Saint Marc - Gonaïves by the RN1."
