Friday, November 15, on the Radio Préférence, the notables of Vialet (1st section of Petit-Goâve) denounced the arrest of January Emmanuel alias "Manno" Tuesday, November 12 by the Police of Petit-Goâve https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-29268-icihaiti-petit-goave-dismantling-of-a-gang-in-vialet.html , shouting at injustice, at arbitrariness, proclaimed the innocence of "Manno" and demanded his release.

Contrary to the information provided by the police authorities, these notable have declared "[...] Manno is not a gang leader, he is a peaceful citizen, a businessman who runs a house in Bric-à-Brac.

If Manno were a thief, we could not risk or jeopardize our reputation by defending him [...] Today, the whole community of Vialet gives him his full support. We stand in solidarity with Janvier Emmanuel 'Manno', we demand his release and we ask the police to go to investigate on the ground. We are convinced that the testimonies will be similar."
