The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) of the Organization of American States (OAS) met with the Haitian Youth Observatory and several other civil society organizations around the socio-political situation in Haiti.

During this meeting, the Youth Observatory presented an alarming picture of the situation in Haiti, mentioning in particular: the massacres in La Saline https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29270-haiti-massacre-of-la-saline-the-united-states-exhorts-haiti-to-bring-the-guilty-to-justice.html , at Carrefour Feuilles https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-27559-haiti-flash-massacre-of-carrefour-feuilles-death-toll-climbed-cspn-emergency-meeting.html among others where authorities have been indexed without being worried by justice; the repression and cases of assassinations recorded during anti-government demonstrations, facts which constitute violations of the right to life.

Furthermore, the identity problem has been raised, where two National Identity Cards are in circulation https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-29528-haiti-alert-d-15-before-the-expiry-date-of-the-old-cins.html which can lead to a violation of the civil and political rights of the citizens.
