iciHaiti - Education : Two new Rectors of University in the Lower Artibonite and the Center
Following the notice of recruitment of rectors for the Public University of Bas-Artibonite in Saint-Marc (UPBAS) and the Public University of the Center (UPC) published in October 2019, the Recruitment Committee composed of Adler Camilus (Cabinet of the Minister), Yves Fausner Paul (Directorate of Higher Education and Scientific Research / DESRS) and Gasner Jean (Directorate of Human Resources / HRD) after analysis of 14 candidacy files and interviews with the candidates, revealed the names of the two rectors retained.

Hugues Dextra will be the Rector of UPBAS and Predner Duvivier will be the Rector of the UPC.

Note that for the purposes of this selection, the Committee had developed a methodological framework consisting of two grids. The first file analysis grid was made up of 5 question levels (diploma, experience in university management, experience in university teaching, scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, and others). The result of this analytical step accounted for 60% of the final grade.

The Committee then drafted an interview grid that accounted for 40% of the final mark, made up of 12 questions intended to verify the skills, aptitudes required and the level of understanding of the strategic issues of the position among the candidates.

For the record, remember that it currently exists 10 Public Universities in Regions (UPR) including 2 in Artibonite on the national territory.
